A fire crew battled a car fire near Hungerford last night (1st).

A car fire just off the A338, near Shefford Woodlands, Hungerford was extinguished by fire crew at approximately 8pm.

No injuries were reported but a spokesman for the Royal Berkshire Fire Service said the fire started under the bonnet of the blue Vauxhall Corsa.

The fire is being investigated by the Thames Valley Police.
