Newbury shopping centre evacuated due to suspected fire

SHOPPERS and staff were evacuated from the Kennet Centre this evening (Tuesday) due to a suspected fire.


It is thought a fire broke out in the 99p store with smoke prompting the evacuation of the centre at around 5.30pm.


Fire crews are currently at the scene.
