The Catherine Wheel has won the newburytoday online poll asking for your favourite pub in Newbury town centre.

The Cheap Street inn came out top with 16 per cent of the vote and Inch's Yard micro pub the Cow and Cask came second with 12 per cent.

The Cross Keys was third, Snooty Fox fourth, The Newbury fifth, Hogshead sixth, King Charles Tavern seventh, Canal Bar eighth, Hatchet ninth and Lock Stock and Barrel 10th.

Last year The Catherine Wheel was named Cider Pub of the Year by the West Berkshire Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

More than 3,000 people voted in the newburytoday poll that ran for a fortnight.
