Greggs opens new shop in London Road, Newbury

FOOD-on-the-go-retailer Greggs has opened a new shop in Newbury, creating 10 jobs.

The shop is located at 125 London Road, the former Carphone Warehouse at the top of Faraday Road.

Craig Finch, manager at Greggs Newbury London Road, said: “I’m very proud to be managing this new shop and the shop team are looking forward to hearing what the local community think.”

Raymond Reynolds, retail director for Greggs, said: “We’re delighted to be able to invest in Newbury and provide our valued customers with a modern and convenient new shop.

“We hope our new and existing customers enjoy the wide range of products on offer, whether they’re grabbing a hot cup of coffee, a freshly-made sandwich or a delicious savoury or sweet treat.”

The shop’s opening times are 7am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 5pm on Sundays.

Not the spot I'd have expected a Greggs to open, given the lack of parking and indeed pedestrian traffic down London road...will give the stationary cars something new to look at as they queue for the roundabout though!
