Hungerford off the mark with a double

Harry Goodger - double up at Fleet

HUNGERFORD TOWN scored a double win over Evo Stik League Southern Central Division Fleet Town to record their first pre-season wins.

They fielded two separate teams, winning the first game 2-0 with goals from Mike Jones and Gary Horgan and romped home 7-1 in the second outing with two goals from Harry Goodger and one apiece from Shaq Agada, Kelvin Bossman, Kallum Thomas, Isaac Osei-Tutu and Alan Bossman with Josh Francis replying for Fleet.

Thatcham Town maintained their unbeaten pre-season streak with a 6-1 win at Wessex League Brockenhurst, Josh Helmore scoring three of the goals and Marcus Mealing, Yasha Romeo and Brad Shaw one apiece.

Tadley Calleva also beat Wessex League Premier Division opposition when defeating Alresford Town 6-3 at Basingstoke’s Everest College.

Hungerford face Reading under 21s at Bulpit Lane on Tuesday night while Thatcham entertain Southern League newcomers Petersfield Town at Waterside Park. Both games kick off at 7.45pm.

Hungerford have an additional game on Thursday night when they go to Evo Stik League Southern Central Division Marlow and they also have South and West Division North Leigh as visitors next Tuesday.
