Town keep unbeaten pre-season tag

THATCHAM TOWN secured a 3-2 win at Gillingham Town to maintain their unbeaten pre-season.

Marcus Mealing netted twice with Marc Thompson also scoring as Thatcham came from behnd.

Hungerford Town chalked up a win and two draws, the latter pair in a double-header at Yate Town that saw 2-2 and 1-1 draws.

Allen Bossman and Stefan Brown scored in the opening game with a Nat Jarvis early goal cancelled out in the second half .

A James Clark goal had given Hungerford a 1-0 in at Marlow on Thursday night.

Tadley Calleva’s warm-up continued with a 3-1 win over Everest and California, the goals coming from Brett Denham, James Milford and Ben Wickens.

Tuesday night sees Hungerford entertain North Leigh, while Tadley Calleva face Blackfield and Langley at Basingstoke's Everest College with an 8pm kick-off while Thatcham make the short trip to Whitchurch United.
