Richard jumps to Italy with England

Italian job for Richard Browne

THATCHAM RFC lock Richard Browne is again in the England Deaf Rugby squad that will embark on a new international venture when it travels to Italy this month.

The 32-year old has figured for England against Wales previously, but the Italians arrival on the international scene strengthens the home nation’s programme.

A 20-strong squad and a seven-strong support team will head to Italy to face the national side at the Treviso club in Vienna on Saturday, October 31 for the inaugural deaf international to be staged in the country.

While, there, the England squad will be guests of the Benetton Treviso club when they face Leinster in the Guinness Pro12 the day after the international.
