Home thoughts spark Blues Blues

NEWBURY BLUES face league leaders Towcestrians at Monks Lane on Saturday looking for some home comforts to keep them on track in South West One East.

Last Saturday’s 18-6 defeat at Oxford Harlequins was their third in a row on the road, and now they are hoping that a return home will take them into testing pre-Christmas programme in winning form.

“I still maintain that on our day, we can beat any team in this league,” said head coach Lee Goodall.

“We beat them here two years ago, and there’s no reason why we can’t do it again.”

Blues will have to make changes as prop George Robinson-Slater is ruled out for three weeks by concussion, recent signing Matt Horne is out with a gashed head and Toby Thorne with a knee injury.
