Trainers wait to make their decisions

NEWBURY Racecourse is keeping a close watch on the weather ahead of the Betfair Super Saturday meet this weekend.

After the rain of the past three days - with more likely to come - both courses are rated as soft, heavy in places as trainers make their decisions over runners.

Confirmations for the Betfair Hurdle are due today (Monday) with the 51 entries to be whittled down while Simonsig and Dodging Bullets are in line to tackle the Denman Chase and Betfair Exchange (Game Spirit) Chase.

Jonjo O’Neill is also hoping to run his former Worlds Hurdle winner More of That in the Better Odds with Betfair Novices Chase, depending on the going.
