HUNGERFORD Town players will have to make do with training tonight (Monday) after the scheduled Evo Stik League Southern Premier Division fixture with Slough Town was postponed.

The Bulpit Lane surface was used for Saturday's North Berks League War Memorial Cup tie between Hungerford Town Swifts and Turnpike Sports, but the first team game was called off at 4pm today.

A win would have taken Hungerford back into the play-off zone after Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Hitchin, but now they stand the risk of slipping further behind the pack if Tuesday night's fixtures go ahead as planned.

They include Hitchin travelling to Poole Town, although their Tatnam ground has also been plagued by recent postponements.

Hungerford are due to have two home games next week when Cambridge City and Bideford are the scheduled visitors on Saturday and Monday respectively.
