Bracknell next up for goal-hungry Town

TOWN’S Shane Cooper-Clark and Thame’s Andy Gledhill traded penalties and a hat-trick apiece as points and honours were shared in another top of the table Hellenic League showdown.

After losing their early week clash at Binfield, Thatcham needed a boost and got it when Cooper-Clark scored after two minutes,  but Thame soon cancelled that out when Gledhill snapped up the pieces when Chris Rackley could not hold a Lynton Goss shot and Goss soon set up Gledhill for his second.

Thatcham got back on terms just before the break when Cooper-Clark’s headed crept over the line, and they went ahead 10 minutes after the re-start when Ashley James was brought down for Cooper-Clark to score from the spot, but Gledhill’s own 12 yard shot tied it up with 20 minutes to go.

Thatcham have more league action on Tuesday night when Royal Wootton Basset Town visit Waterside Park.
