Tadley tread carefully with youth

Tadley Calleva Manager Danny Dolan

TADLEY CALLEVA manager Danny Dolan will be careful not to ask to much of the youngsters who have begun to make a mark in his squad.

The club’s own rising stars have been joined by several from Hungerford Town’s academy, and Dolan believes that they can become regulars in his Wessex League team.

“Chad Abrams and Kallum Thomas have already regulars at full back,” he said, “and others like Harry Monger can do the same.

“And Cian Condon, Connor Thorne and Adam Bartlett are also doing well,” he added, “but you have to be careful to to play to many youngsters in some games when it can be very physical.”

Dolan is also aware that other players can be sidelined as a result: “It can be frusrating for them,” he said, “but we have to try and get results”

Tadley are at mid-table US Portsmouth on Saturday and on Tuesday night entertain Premier Division high-flyer Blackfeld and Langley in the second round of the League Cup when experience may be the order of the night.

THATCHAM TOWN - already more than halfway through their league fixtures - have no game until they entertain Ascot United a week on Saturday.
