Leaders do their job at Barlows Park

Tadley Calleva 2 Laverstock and Ford 4

LEAGUE leaders Laverstock ultimately had too much power for Tadley as they stretched their lead to five points at the top of the Sydenhams Wessex League’s Division One.

Tadley’s squad was stretched with goalkeeper Tom Hindmarsh missing and eight teenagers in the ranks, and Laverstock kept their noses in front throughout, scoring through Russell Jones, Joe Sanger, Graham Mankin and Rob Gallagher, while top scorer Brett Denham netted twice for Tadley, who now find themselves 12 points adrift of the promotion spots

Tadley Calleva: Maunder; Abrams, A. Charsley, Barlow, Thomas; Edwards, N. Kingston, Vickers, Jones; Hamilton, Denham. Subs: J. Kingston, Thorne, Bartlett, Vasileias, Holmes.
