Great Thatcham Duck Race returns!

WADDLE up to the Great Thatcham Duck Race on Sunday.

The rubber racers will return for Thatcham Rotary Club’s fourth annual outing on the Kennet and Avon Canal.

The ducks will be released into the water close to the Rowbarge in Woolhampton at noon on Sunday, July 17.

Tickets cost £1, and the money raised will go towards the renal dialysis unit and cancer care unit at the West Berkshire Community Hospital and other local charities.

Rotarians will be selling tickets in Thatcham Broadway on Saturday, July 16.

Tickets will also be on sale at the Rowbarge between 12.30pm and 2pm and on race day itself.

Last year’s event raised more than £2,200 for charity.
