Yes, Newbury does need a new bypass but NOT to the west of town
No, a new road will just attract more traffic

no, it needs a drastic improvement of the current road system in the town. robin hood roundabout, police/hambridge road, andover rd/burger king and the tesco roundabout needs to be a box junction to prevent the huge queues back toward greenham in the mornings.

Connecting the A339 at the Swan (B4640) through to the A34 at the Andover Rd (A343) junction would be sensible. At present drivers going to Greenham Common or Basingstoke choose the A339 rather than going down to Tothill.

So currently over 70% favour a new bypass. Obviously won't happen as WBC don't like doing what the tax payers want!
