Cornish pasty store is going places
West Cornwall Food Co opens its third concept store in Newbury
NEWBURY is the site for the third West Cornwall Pasty Co concept store.
In May this year, the company launched its first concept store, West Cornwall Food Co, on Canterbury High Street, followed by its second in Chichester and now, due to its great success, a third has opened in Newbury.
Located in Northbrook Street, it opened its doors on Friday, September 23, channelling the feel of a traditional friendly high street shop, perfectly positioned in a beautiful old building dating from 1769, with enough seating to cater for 54 guests and treating customers to views directly out over the River Kennet.
West Cornwall Food Co launched with an extended product range, including freshly-made sandwiches and a luxury range of cakes.
The first store to carry the new range in Canterbury has seen sales rise to 50 per cent up on last year since the changes were made.
West Cornwall Pasty Co’s executive chairman Chris Peck said: “We are pleased with the results so far.
“Since the year end, trading remains very robust with LFL sales up in double digit growth.
“We expect another year of substantial profit growth, as we continue to innovate and engage with current and new customers.
“Our aim is, as ever, to maintain quality products which are excellent value for money and to further inspire customers to engage with and enjoy the new direction of the brand.”
