Excitement on eve of West Berks Business Awards
Winners to be announced at ceremony at Newbury Racecourse tomorrow night
AFTER months of judging, shortlisting and preparations – it is now a matter of hours until the biggest night in the West Berkshire business calendar.
The Champagne is on ice and the last few finishing touches are being made as hundreds of people get ready to gather at Newbury Racecourse for the West Berkshire Business Awards.
The awards, which are this year sponsored by the , recognise and celebrate the success of the local business community.
A black-tie gala dinner will take place tomorrow evening (Friday) at Newbury Racecourse, where the winners of each category will be announced.
There were nine individual categories for companies to enter this year, covering all aspects of business and charity.
And the winners of each category will be in with a chance of taking home the coveted 2016 West Berkshire Business of the Year Award on the night.
Competing for the Greenham Common Trust Community & Charity Award are Home-Start West Berkshire, Newbury Riding for the Disabled and The Bruce Trust.
Going head-to-head for the PBA Accountants Small Business Award are Bravo Hairdressing, Michael Pagliaroli Architects, Terptree and VICI Language Academy.
Finalists for the Newbury Racecourse Rural Award are Cobbs Farm Shop and Kitchen, Newbury and District Agricultural Society and Wasing Park and Estate.
Charter Travel, RS Catering and Events and VICI Language Academy will all be hoping to pick up the Santander Entrepreneur Award.
Shortlisted for the Appleprint New Business Start Up Award are Abley Letchford Partnership, Heritage, Snug Kitchens and True Green.
Battling it out for the Newbury Business Improvement District Independent Retail Business Award are Cow and Cask, Natures Corner and Snug Kitchens.
The International Taste Solutions Business Innovation Award will be contested by Bigger Brighter Bolder, Generate UK and Trellisworks.
The Mercedes Benz Customer Care Award finalists are Floating Point Wellness, Jones Robinson, Wasing Park and Estate and West Berkshire Brewery.
