Dynamic duo take on easyProperty Thames Valley West franchise – part of the easyGroup founded by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou

Meet Kieron and Sharon Coleman - the mother and son from Stanford Dingley who are making a name for themselves as the local go-to property experts.

The pair have taken on the easyProperty Thames Valley West franchise and have one vision – to make selling your house or finding your dream new home that bit easier.

easyProperty,is part of the easyGroup which was founded by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou. In the same way easyJet transformed the way people travel, easyProperty is aiming to transform the way that people sell their properties.

The company describe themselves as a 'local estate agent', having built a team of local property experts across the UK and says its mission is "to turn one of life’s most stressful events into an easy one".

Being a 'hybrid' agency, it offers what many 'traditional' high street estate agents can't – a 24 hour a day, seven days a week service.

It was this, said Mrs Coleman, that drew them to easyProperty.

"We were just so impressed," she said. "They make the process as easy and stress free as possible by keeping you updated every step of the way through a personal digital dashboard

"You can log into this dashboard at any time and it allows you to find out when someone has viewed your property, what they thought of it and keeps you up to date with enquiries and any offers received.

"It means you can keep track of the whole process from start to finish. There's complete transparency and gives you one less thing to worry about. You don't have to keep making phone calls to get an update. It's all there in front of you so you can see exactly what stage it is at.

"This means you can sit back relax, and sell your home from the comfort of your sofa."

Mrs Coleman said: “easyProperty put all the tools in place to make it easier than trading with a high street agent.

"If you are looking to sell or buy a home in this area and don't want to pay £6,000 plus to do it, then we are here.

" What we can give you is excellent service and the support you need to find your next home or sell your existing home..

“We are available 24 hours a day, it is not your average 9 to 5. So we are always around to help."

Mr Coleman added: “With a traditional agency you speak to a lot of people which can lead to confusion. With us you only speak to us two. It gives it a much more personal feel.

“It also means we are up to date on every client and know exactly what each person needs.

"We want to get to know the buyer. That’s what’s great about the hybrid model, it allows us to meet people for a coffee and talk through exactly what they want."

Mrs Coleman has more than two decades experience in the industry, but for Mr Coleman, following in his mother's footsteps as a property expert wasn't something that he had initially envisaged.

For the past six years, he has been living in the USA while studying for a Masters degree in Santa Barbara, California.

However, when he had to unexpectedly return to the UK due to the coronavirus pandemic, little did he know it would end up opening the door to a career with his mum.

Sharon said: “I have always been in property. I had my own property maintenance business when we were living in Cheshire and I did some consultancy work when I first came down here.

“When Kieron got back from America I sat down with him and talked him through it and he was really impressed with what he saw so we decided to go for it.

"I have the property background but I'm not great with the technical side of things like the social media and the marketing but Kieron has the technical background so it works really well.

"It's nice to be able to do this together. Hopefully we can create something that will end up being our legacy."

easyProperty offers homeowners a choice of payment options to sell their property: an upfront fee, a split fee or no sale, no fee.

Mrs Coleman said “If the vendor wants to sell a house they get the choice of a £795 up front free to list the property –for that we take all the photos and market the property through the likes of Right Move, Zoopla and other agents.

“Alternatively, they have the choice of paying a £395 upfront fee with a further £895 on completion.

“So whether they are looking to buy a £300,000 or £3m house, they pay the same, unless they go for the one per cent option."
