NWN Best in Business Awards: Nominations now open
And the nominations are now open! It’s that great time of year when we officially call for nominations for the NWN Best in Business Awards.
The awards celebrate all that is good in the West Berkshire business community and we can’t wait to start receiving your entries and nominations.
The gala dinner will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, and we are delighted to return to our regular fabulous venue at Newbury Racecourse.
Andy Murrill, editor of the Newbury Weekly News, said: “We’re delighted to once again host our Best in Business Awards as part of our commitment to supporting and celebrating the local economy.
“Since they were first launched in 2017, the awards have gained tremendous momentum to become the premium business event in our area.
“The process for applying is simple – it’s all online.
“However, we want to hear about your success and your stories, so please give as much detail as you can.”
The NWN is very grateful, once again, to the headline sponsor Apple Print & Creative (AP&C).

Expert judges will help shortlist the finalists in each category and they will all be invited to the racecourse in April, where the winners will be revealed at a glittering gala event.
It will be a night to get together with your teams and celebrate your successes.
There are 13 different categories, with an overall West Berkshire Business of 2024/2025 crowned at the end of the evening.

Best Online Business
This category recognises organisations that conduct their business entirely online, taking advantage of their digital first approach to provide a truly outstanding service.
Employer of the Year – sponsored by West Berkshire Training Consortium
This award will go to an organisation with highly innovative workplace policies, employer-friendly initiatives and staff ones that contribute directly to commercial success.
Best Customer Experience – sponsored by Jones Robinson
Customer experience is a top differentiator in today’s business world. If your business leaves no stone unturned to ensure customers are delighted at every stage of the journey, then this is the category for you.
Best Green Business
If your business is dedicated to sustainable growth and is part of the solution to the climate crisis, we want to hear from you.
From environmental sustainability to products made from recycled and natural materials with minimal packaging, join in the race for this important award and show us how it’s done.
Charity of the Year
Awarded to the charity the judges believe has delivered outstanding services to its beneficiaries.
This charity should be able to demonstrate clear goals and strategy and excellent promotional skills to encourage interaction and engagement.
Best Sports Club – sponsored by Newbury Racecourse
Sports clubs in our area play a hugely important role for the population.
From getting our children involved in sports at an early age to helping us all stay fit throughout our our lifecycle.

Best Town Centre (BID) Business – sponsored by Newbury BID

Are you contributing to town centre culture and community, whilst providing excellent customer service?
