Solicitors ‘punch well above their weight’
Praise for Gardner Leader in prestigious Legal 500 buyers guide
Solicitors Gardner Leader has been described as a firm that ‘exceeds all expectations’, ‘punches well above its weight’ and is ‘forward-thinking’ in this year’s prestigious The Legal 500 buyers guide.
The guide is published every year, following extensive research by an experienced team into national and regional legal services, and recommends the best and most experienced firms and individuals in the legal profession.
Once again, Gardner Leader – which has branches in Newbury, Thatcham and Maidenhead – and individual team members, have been highly commended in the South East regional section of the guide, on the delivery of a number of services, in particular corporate and commercial, commercial litigation, contentious probate, family, health and safety, and commercial property.
Partners Chris Felton and Alastair Goggins were listed as ‘leading individuals’ for a second year.
Chris heads up the commercial litigation team, which was described as a department that ‘punches well above its weight’ and provides ‘excellent assistance in highly complex, multi-jurisdictional cases’.
Mr Felton was also referred to as ‘very bright, a real strategist who gives 110 per cent for clients’, and ‘is able to explain complex legal issues in simple terms’.
Michelle Di Gioia, a partner in the same team, was commended for her work in High Court litigation and regulatory matters.
Mr Goggins, head of the dispute resolution department, was singled out by The Legal 500 as ‘a sound tactician that leads a ‘forward thinking’ team, while senior associate Tara McInnes ‘brings a pragmatic and commercial approach to her cases’.
Other solicitors who received special mention included Greg Humphreys, partner in the commercial property team, as ‘very thorough and knowledgeable’, and ‘acts quickly’.
Head of the family team, Seona Myerscough, was described as a key figure at Gardner Leader LLP and Emma Ladd, senior associate in the corporate and commercial team, was referred to as being ‘extremely good with SMEs and partnership conflict’.
Partner Richard Buckeridge was recognised for advising on acquisitions and disposals; head of the inheritance protection team, Jolyon Barton, was regarded as a key contact; and partners in the family team, Jenny Buchanan and Collette Bailey, were recognised for their work in financial matters and in handling high-wealth divorce proceedings.
Managing partner of Gardner Leader, Derek Rodgers, said: “Being recommended in the Legal 500 buyers guide is important to us and we’re delighted that so many of our team have once again been individually recognised and commended.
“We always aim to be the provider of choice in Newbury, Maidenhead and the surrounding areas, and to exceed customer expectations, so for the guide to specifically recognise this is a true testament to the work we’re doing to bring clients reassurance and peace of mind.”
