Newbury College ready to offer T Levels alongside apprenticeships to provide skilled workforce for local businesses
Over the last year, Newbury College has been preparing for T Levels and exploring the benefits that they can bring to businesses in the region.
T Levels will run alongside and feed into the well-established Apprenticeship provision that Newbury College and UCN offers to local businesses, developing the skills and training needed for a better informed, perfectly matched workforce for your organisation.
This growing provision aligns with the Government’s blueprint for a post-16 education that ensures everyone can gain the skills they need to progress in a career, at any stage of their life.
T Levels and Apprenticeships are vital in establishing the right skills at the right time, and employers are being encouraged to take a central role in designing these technical courses.
About T Levels
T Levels are a new two-year qualification for 16- to 19-year-olds. Designed with employers, each T Level is equivalent to three A-levels and helps young people develop the knowledge, attitude and practical skills needed to thrive in the workplace.
At the heart of each T Level is a 45-day industry placement.
T Levels are part of the Government’s plan to align technical qualifications to have an equivalent status to A-levels.
The industry placements give you a unique opportunity to develop new talent and get young people work-ready.
From September 2022, Newbury College will deliver T Levels in construction, business and administration and digital.
Benefits to your business
