Tasty! IKEA holds celebration of National Cinnamon Bun Day - with free samples!

A sweet treat will be found in IKEA this week as the firm celebrates National Cinnamon Bun Day.

Staff at the Calcot store will be setting up a trail to follow around the building.

Maps can be collected on entering the Pincents Lane flat packed furniture store.

Participants can then follow the trail of the buns, known as Kanelbullar in Sweden – IKEA’s home country.

There will be samples to try and the Swedish food market, on the other side of the checkouts, will give people an opportunity to take some of the goodies home with them.

The event runs from 1pm to 6pm on Friday, October 4, and is free to take part in.

The store will also be holding a Hallowe’en party on Thursday, October 24.

Activities include face painting, balloon art and pumpkin decorating.

There are two sessions: the first runs from 4pm, the second from 6pm and both last an hour and a half.

Places need to be booked in advance on the IKEA website.

Those attending can try a dish of the day in the company’s restaurant, for just £3, if they have an IKEA Family card.
