Thatcham loses two town centre businesses
Two shops have shut in Thatcham town centre, writes Maisie Day.
Tattoo parlour Shades of Siam, in High Street, and Forresters Hair Salon, in Chapel Street, have both permanently closed their stores.
Forresters, a key player in Thatcham’s aesthetics landscape, announced its closure due to the expiration of its long lease.
The company decided not to renew, signalling the end of an era for loyal customers who frequented the salon.
But it has assured its clients they will receive a warm welcome at its other West Berkshire branches in Tilehurst and Pangbourne.
And Shades of Siam, run by Thai artist Mit, also shut down earlier this month following an online announcement in March.
The business has thanks customers for their support over the years.
