This ardent belief in using technology to create a different, more engaging approach to teaching and learning has been one of the guiding principles and values of BCoT Principal, Anthony Bravo, since he joined the college more than 10 years ago.

Having been named one of only 10 colleges in the country to be EdTech Demonstrators in 2020 and 2021, BCoT is now recognised as one of the top performing education providers in the country in the application of technology to support teaching and learning.

Instead of traditional classroom-based learning, studying at BCoT gives students the opportunity to learn at the forefront of education from industry experts, offering a more ‘hands-on’, active approach to studying.

This combination of active learning and industry expertise plays a fundamental part in student progression and achievement at the college.

BCoT’s advanced vocational courses are the equivalent to A-levels and with a Level 3 achievement rate of 97.5 per cent this year, our outcomes are comparable with, and in some cases higher than, those of other local colleges, with learners progressing on to various destinations including university, apprenticeships, further study and employment.

After achieving a triple Distinction* in Level 3 Travel and Tourism at BCoT, India has now secured her first-choice place at the University of Exeter to study
International Relations with the opportunity to study abroad in South Korea in her third year.
