Hell Bunny clothing, famed for its retro style and kitsch prints, plugs a gap in the market for those who like something edgy but ultra-feminine.
Hell Bunny was created by London-based fashion house Popsoda, which have a long history in original design. Now Hell Bunny has arrived at the Newbury and Hungerford branches of Luna boutique.
Whether you are preparing for your end-of-term prom this summer and want a dress that wil turn heads when you walk into the room, or if you are of more mature years with, perhaps, a spring or summer wedding to go to and the spirit to buck the trend, Hell Bunny is for you. But the clothes are not only for special occasions;they are perfect for those who like a cute streetwear style that makes an alternative statement.
Not everyone is catwalk tall and smaller girls are enhanced by a shorter, flirty dress with a fitted silhouette. Hell Bunny’s classic 1950s-style ‘May Day’, £65, matches the remit, with its sweetheart neckline and pretty floral print in colour-popping blue, purple, pink, and yellow. Made from stretchy cotton, its elasticated panel at the back and adjustable straps on the halter neck promise a perfect fit.
However, if you love the ‘May Day’ shape but flowers are not your thing, Hell Bunny’s ‘Mariam’, £65, dress is very similar, but comes in a more subtle colourway of navy or red, with white polka dots. For those who prefer to keep their arms covered, Hell Bunny’s black-and-white print ‘Honour’ dress, £68, with short sleeves and collar is ideal. Or how about the long-sleeved ‘Eternity’?
Timelessly vintage with its sweetheart neckline and bright red roses on a white background, it’s also £68, and very fresh, very summer. With both ‘Honour’ and ‘Eternity’ you’ll look sensational in a ‘Hollywood starlet’ kind of way, elegant but edgy. With their feminine cut and fabric belts to cinch in the waist, these two really make the most of killer curves, and their circular skirts just beg to be invited on to the dance floor.
To really make your skirt swing out, add extra pizzazz to your Hell Bunny with one of their full petticoats, also available at Luna. Then it’s just a matter of putting on your sexiest heels or cutest pumps and you’re all set to rock ’n’ roll the night away. Luna in Newbury Parkway has a great range of Hell Bunny styles and sizes, with a smaller selection at its Hungerford store.
