Sunday 5 July is the day for this year's Carnival.

As Newbury carnival approaches, we've gathered some photographs of previous Carnivals from the 1980s and beyond, to put you in suitable Carnival mood. Sunday 5 July is the date to remember - that's when children and adults from all over the town will be donning fancy dress and taking part in the parade of floats. Come to the town centre and join in the fun - this year's carnival promises to be bigger and better than ever. Remember to bring lots of loose change with you - there will be plenty of opportunity to donate to the many charitable causes involved. The NWN team will be there too - come and say hello at our stand in Victoria Park.
