A TRACTOR show at Newbury Showground proved a huge success, attracting thousands of visitors from all over the country, in a first for the area.

Around 3,000 visitors streamed through the gates at the Hermitage showground over Saturday, October 8, and Sunday, October 9, with some 130 vintage tractors on display in the new building at the showground – a new facility praised by organisers.

“It’s an excellent building, a large shed that suits our needs,” said organiser, Mark Woodward.

“Tractors don’t need anything fancy – a shed is perfect.”

Veteran vintage and classic tractors on display included a grey, 1919 International Titan and children enjoyed climbing aboard some of the gleaming vehicles, for some hands-on experience, at what proved to be a couple of great family days out.
