Video clip shows Newbury in the '50s
Wed, 16 Dec 2015
Parents and teachers of young children will be looking out the tea towels, tinsel, old sheets and curtains and dusting down the sewing machine – as the children’s nativity play season gets well and truly under way.
Even the hardest of hearts cannot fail to melt, and the driest of eyes shed a tear as the tinies try to remember their lines and enjoy the wonder of it all. There’s often the added bonus of an unintended belly laugh, as things don’t always go according to plan.
We hope our picture gallery brings back warm memories for those of you involved in local nativity and school plays over the last 25 years; either as performers or part of the audience.
