24 artists each producing an image of one tree ‘create a veritable woodland of rustic wonder’ in the heart of Newbury

IF you’ve recently been to a gig at ACE Space, you’ll have noticed enough trees on the walls to make a small wood.

1 Tree is a show by 24 artists each producing an image of one tree to create a veritable woodland of rustic wonder in the very heart of Newbury.

Curated by Newbury sculptor and ACE Space trustee Jim Crockatt, it is on view at the community music venue in St Nicholas Road until June 2 and can be seen on events nights.

The images are mostly paintings, but include prints and photographs and all are united by a high level of quality, imagination and vision.

The artists include well-known local artists/photographers David Hatfull, Amanda Bates, Nick Schlee, Gina Soden, Isabel Carmona, Michael Norcross, Emma Clifton – Brown, Pam Hardman, Sam Emmons and Jill Hobbs.
