Art on the Park was so popular last summer that plans are well under way for two more events this year.

Located in Victoria Park behind Parkway and using the railings of the Nursery School and Family Hub, around 24 local artists and craftspeople will have work on display for the public to browse and perhaps buy.

This is a great opportunity to support local artists and buy quality original work at very reasonable prices.

And, of course, it’s never to early to start your Christmas shopping…

Come and see for yourself on Sunday, May 26 and Sunday, August 25, between 10am until 4pm, weather permitting.

All the other attractions of Victoria Park will be on hand, including crazy golf, the splash park and possibly music in the bandstand during the afternoon so there will be plenty to entertain the whole family.

Art on the Park is supported by Newbury Town Council. The Council is keen to encourage arts and cultural events in the town as well as to provide a range of leisure opportunities for residents and visitors and gives Art on the Park a grant and practical support.

It was first held in 2000 along Park Way, using the railings on the western edge of Victoria Park but had to stop when the area was redeveloped.
