Newbury’s Big Boss Man are back with a brand new single Lambretta Boogaloo and its a Mod Masterpiece
Big Boss Man are back with a brand new single Lambretta Boogaloo. Brian Harrington took a listen…
With an all Newbury based line-up, the track is set for release just prior to them heading to Scotland to headline the 34th Euro Lambretta Rally in Ayr. The event is the biggest of it's kind and is hosted in a different country each year.
Nass (Nasser Bouzida aka The Bongolian), Trev, Roger and Nick are all Lambretta fans themselves, so their appearance is a perfect fit.
What of the track itself you ask…
It's a Mod Masterpiece opening with the unmistakeable sound of a Lambretta revving and some great bongos, sax and keyboards that is at times reminiscent of Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs.
Guaranteed to be a floor filler both at the rally and in Mod discos everywhere, when it is sure to be an anthem.
Yet again, Big Boss Man are proving that their longevity as a band has been well deserved and that they are still on top of their game.
Will I play it on my radio show?
Absolutely I will.
Great stuff.
