Call for artists to pitch in for Newbury’s Art on the Park

Organisers of the popular Art on the Park event have put out a call for more artists to come and show in Victoria Park on August bank holiday weekend and make it a big one.

“We have enough bookings to go ahead,” said Jane Shillam of the organising team. “But it would be good to have a few more pitches taken.”

Art on the Park will take place on Sunday, August 25.

Local artists and craftspeople have the opportunity to exhibit along the railings and sell their work in Newbury's popular open-air event.

Located in the park behind Parkway and using the railings of the Nursery School and Family Hub, more than 20 local artists and craftspeople will have work on display for the public to browse and perhaps buy.

It’s a great opportunity to support local artists and buy quality original work at very reasonable prices. And, of course, it’s never to early to start Christmas shopping…
