Call-out to local community bands, choirs, musical ensembles and dancers to take part in Newbury Spring Festival Parade
Newbury Spring Festival is launching this year’s festivities with an outdoor Festival Parade through the town to be led by the Giant Bandmaster puppet.
A call has gone out for musicians and performers - local community bands, choirs, musical ensembles and dancers - to take part in the event between 3pm and 6pm on Saturday, May10.
Working in partnership with the Corn Exchange Newbury and 101 Outdoor Arts hey aim to make it an exciting and vibrant celebration of music in all its forms.

“This is a brand-new event for Newbury Spring Festival, designed to bring the local community together in a celebration of music,” said Festival general manager Ashley Morris.
“Music is at the heart of this town, whether through the incredible work that local groups and schools achieve or in Newbury’s ability to attract world-class musicians to perform here.
“We hope this parade will showcase the rich musical talent in our area while creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.”
Newbury Spring Festival is one of the UK’s most celebrated annual music festivals, bringing world-class performances to the region for over 40 years. Running from 10–24 May , this year’s programme will feature an exciting lineup of concerts, family-friendly events, and performances spanning classical, jazz, folk, and more. Audiences can expect a diverse range of artists and ensembles, from internationally renowned musicians to rising stars.
