Call to support Newbury singers raising funds for Oxford’s Helen & Douglas House children’s hospice
NEWBURY’S charity fundraising Cromwell Singers invite you to support their spring concert, Easter Blessings, at 3pm on Saturday, March 23, at St. Mary's Church, Church Gate, Thatcham.
Their charity partner will be the Oxford-based Helen & Douglas House children’s hospice.
They will feature music by Karl Jenkins, Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Rutter and Eric Whitacre, among others.
Tickets are £10 (under 18s free), available on the door, from choir members or via the cromwellsingers@gmail.com and they include refreshments.
There will be a retiring collection and raffle.
“So, do come and enjoy the music while supporting a worthwhile cause,” say the singers.
Helen & Douglas House helps local families cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill baby or child who will die prematurely.
“Helen & Douglas House is a homely place for local children, living with life-limiting and terminal conditions, and their families. We provide care in a warm, loving environment.
“Our hospice is filled with laughter, whilst also being peaceful place where families can create happy memories in their last days, weeks, months or years together.”
