Open Mic Night (May 4, Jun 1, Jul 6 & Aug 3) invites local performers to take the stage in the Corn Exchange Balcony Bar. With a huge range of performers from live music to spoken word, and even close-up magic, each evening promises a new unforgettable experience. For those who love a challenge, the popular Theatre, Film & TV Quiz (Apr 11, Jun 11 & Jul 26) returns throughout the summer. Gather your team to test your pop culture knowledge and compete for the title of quiz masters. Meanwhile, film enthusiasts can take part in Film Club (Apr 16, May 28, Jun 18, Jul 16 & Aug 13), an opportunity to watch a screening in the Corn Exchange’s 40-seat cinema and then engage in a relaxed discussion over drinks in their Balcony Bar.
Gaming lovers of all kinds will find activities to take part in at the Corn Exchange this summer. Pokémon Club, held on the third Saturday of each month, is the perfect place for trainers of all levels to trade and battle. Fans of tabletop gaming adventures can immerse themselves in a Dungeons & Dragons Campaign (May 18, Jun 15, Jul 20 & Aug 17), where players of all ages can embark on thrilling quests.
The Corn Exchange Newbury will also be hosting a Tabletop Gaming Event (Sun, Jul 20), bringing together exhibitors who will showcase a diverse range of board games, role-playing experiences, and miniatures. This Easter holiday, families looking for creative fun can join artist Gemma Kirby in the Corn Exchange Balcony Bar for the Make Your Own Easter Bonnet (Apr 17) workshop, a hands-on session where little ones can let their imaginations run wild, using upcycled materials to create a bright bonnet.
