Print and Sip - a night of tapas, wine and printmaking in Newbury
Back from their sell-out workshops at Carfest South - family run Berkshire Printmakers are joining forces with local business Buick Mackane to offer a 'Print and Sip' evening from 6pm-9pm on Friday, October 14.
In the chilled atmosphere of the West Mills offices of Buick Mackane - a co-working and event space in the town centre - the experienced husband-and-wife team will run what they describe as a "laid-back" workshop for adults.
Newbury couple Cipriano and Sarah Martinez, a practising artist and an art teacher, will guide participants step by step to show how you can create your own print "with a wine glass in one hand and a squeegee in the other".
The attendees will get the opportunity to try their hand at making paper stencils, colour mixing, and combining their images with the company’s big bank of patterned screens, to create a print they can take home at the end of the evening.
Sarah of Berkshire Printmakers said: “We plan to make the evening a wonderful way to relax and unwind after a busy working week and a great way to meet new friends.
"Being creative relaxes the mind and is good for the soul.”
“Get artistic and experience a great night out that you’ll be talking about for weeks.”
This fun evening will be interspersed with wine and delicious tapas.
