Are you ready for a Big Band dazzler in Newbury?
NEWBURY’S own Apollo Big Band, regulars at Stockcross, are making their debut at Arlington Arts, Snelsmore, on Saturday.
This popular 18-piece band brings an exciting programme of some of the best big band tunes around today, from Cole Porter to Post-Modern Jukebox.
Led by musical director Les Bruce and featuring the dazzlingly talented vocals of Steph Richardson, you can expect a toe-tapping evening.
Singer Steph, who is originally from Hungerford, is a greatly accomplished and popular purveyor of standard songs by the great singers of the past, like Ella Fitzgerald and Natalie Cole as well as many more recent, and also film numbers like I Wanna Be Like You and Nobody Does it Better.
Doors to the venue open an hour before the performance starts, with the bar starting service at the same time.
Doors to the auditorium usually open half an hour before a performance.
