Rudy, Didcot's musical reindeer with no shiny nose, bucks the crowd
Follow the adventures of a talented reindeer in a crowd rouser of a Christmas show ‘The Ballad of Rudy’ at the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot from Tuesday, December 14 to Christmas Eve. Cornerstone are once again teaming up with Goblin Theatre team to bring a magical Christmas tale to life that they’re promising will inspire the entire family.
The Ballad of Rudy follows the story of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer but with a twist... This Rudy doesn’t have a red nose; rather it’s his talent for exciting new music that sets him apart from other reindeer. Together with the magical Jazz Penguin he goes on an adventure that teaches him that life isn’t about following the herd.
This year’s show is directed by Matt Hassall and written by Matt Borgatti, the writer of Cornerstone’s previous Christmas shows, including the popular The Adventures of Pinocchio and The Pied Piper.
Funny, warm and with a big heart, this show features live music, original songs and lots of imagination which is guaranteed to have children aged three and up mesmerised. Cornerstone is inviting everyone to come share in the festivities.
The Nourish café will be open before and after the show with lots of options for the whole family. Come beforehand and grab one of their new bagels or treat yourself after the show curtains close by indulging in a hot chocolate with one of their locally sourced cakes.
