After 40 years, the last chance ever to see Steeleye Span’s Maddy Prior and The Carnival Band

THIS is truly the end of an era.

For many people, a firm fixture of the festive period is the combination of Steeleye Span’s Maddy Prior and The Carnival Band.

They have been producing their fun take on beloved Christmas music ever since 1984.

This musical partnership has made many albums including Carols & Capers, as well as a concert experience like no other.

To mark the 40th anniversary of their artistic relationship, Maddy & The Carnival Band are touring in what will be a bittersweet celebration, as it is also a farewell, being the last time they will undertake such an outing.

So make sure you see them at Basingstoke’s Haymarket on Wednesday, December 18.

With a of mix rich vocal harmony and ancient and modern instruments, along with a refreshing cavalier attitude and plenty of humour, they’ll put their inimitable stamp on a range of familiar and not-so-familiar festive fare.

This will be a Christmas party to remember.
