Irish Anglo folk-pop duo The Portraits to donate Harwell gig profits to Ukraine
Big Ginger Tom Music are welcoming back the Somerset-based Irish Anglo folk-pop duo Jeremy and Lorraine Millington - aka The Portraits - to Harwell Village Hall next Friday (March 18) and for this gig they will be joined by their good friend Vincent Imbert on fiddle.
The evening will be opened by Dom Prag who has just released his first album Needle & Thread, which was produced by Phil Beer who is at ACE Space on Saturday (March 12). Some may have already seen Dom as he played a brilliant set at ACE Space last November.
Jeremy and Lorraine are well known for their charity work and since 2006 they have released eight studio albums and a handful of singles, performed numerous times at Glastonbury Festival and have donated much of their proceeds from CD sales and concerts to a school in Burma/Myanmar that they have supported for nearly 15 years. This gig is no different as they will be donating any profits from this gig to support the plight of those caught up in the terrible troubles in Ukraine.
Tickets are available from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/515596 or by contacting Duncan at biggingertommusic@gmail.com.
Doors at 7pm, music at 7.40pm.
