Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to this week’s Dog of the Week.
Dogs Trust Newbury still has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
And so every week we will continue to shine a spotlight on one of them to try to help spread the word.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 749 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
She is a delightful four-year-old Labrador cross and with her "beautiful, bouncing personality, this lovable girl is an absolute joy to be around".
Lulu loves zoomies and playing with her favourite people and her toys.
Those at the trust said: "Initially, life in the kennel was a bit overwhelming for Lulu.
"She was understandably nervous when she first met her new carers, but a little love and some tasty hot dog treats won her over in no time.
"Once they became friends, she began to explore her surroundings, even though it could be a tad intimidating at times.
"Thankfully, her gentle handlers took their time introducing her to new places and people, allowing her to grow more comfortable each day.
"As Lulu continues to blossom, she’s discovering a world filled with fascinating scents. Her nose is always on the hunt for new adventures, and she’s even made some furry friends along the way.
"At first, she might come on a little strong, but it doesn’t take long for her to settle down and enjoy their company.
"With each passing day, Lulu is coming out of her shell more and more, and she’s ready to share her boundless energy and affection with a loving home."
