Kennet Valley Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers say ‘Come and have a go!’




THE 2025 Exhibition for Kennet Valley Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers is currently on show at Newbury’s West Berkshire Museum in Wharf Street.

It continues until September 21 and you can view it during the museum’s usual opening times; Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am to 4pm.

The exhibition A Canopy of Trees showcases the many skills of Guild members and each individual’s interpretation of the subject matter.

The exhibition is free and is held in Gallery 5 of Newbury Museum.

Everyone is welcome. There are more than 60 exhibits to look at.

The Guild is also holding spinning and braiding taster sessions between 11am and 2pm on Saturday, September 20 (spinning) and Sunday, September 21 (braiding) in the Cloth Hall.

Everyone is welcome to try their hand under expert supervision and instruction.
