Henley's Summer Fling cancelled but festival to go ahead
Henley Festival’s taster event Summer Fling, that had been due to run over the weekend of July 8-10, has been cancelled following the Government's decision to continue Covid restrictions for another month, but the main festival in September is expected to go ahead.
In a statement sent to supporters this morning, Henley Festival CEO Jo Bausor said: “We are all incredibly disappointed but we have to comply with Government regulations and the safety of our guests and the wider public has always been our priority. We would like to thank you all for your support and remind you that it is not all bad news, as you can get your festival fix at Henley Festival on Wednesday 15 – Sunday 19 September.”
Festivalgoers are in for a treat with live performances from Seminal British pop band Madness, multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter James Blunt, singer-songwriter sensation Sophie Ellis-Bextor, legendary DJ Sara Cox and legendary Special Guest, Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge joining Disco Classical.
