Henry VIII, along with his many wives and Queen Elizabeth I, are on their way to Newbury. Birmingham Stage Company's Horrible Histories: Terrible Tudors, comes to the Corn Exchange on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday 3.

This hit show is a gag-filled gallop through one of the most famous and bloody eras of British history, with two actors playing multiple historical roles. The show, written by Terry Deary and Neal Foster, is based on Deary’s bestselling Horrible Histories books and is directed by Neal Foster.

Audiences will hear fascinating true stories, from the horrible Henries to the end of evil Elizabeth and hear the legends about the Terrible Tudors. Find out the fate of Henry’s headless wives and his punch up with the Pope - it’s history with the nasty bits left in.
