Newbury law firm sponsors Watermill Christmas show
Horsey Lightly has continued to contribute to the creation of exciting, festive theatre in Newbury by sponsoring The Watermill on another Christmas show.
This Christmas the Bagnor theatre has partnered with the local solicitors, who are principal sponsors on their alternative Christmas show, Rapunzel (runs until January 1). Horsey Lightly Solicitors have offices in Newbury and are widely respected as one of the most prestigious law firms in the South of England.
The Watermill aims to involve its sponsors throughout the development of their sponsored production, from the sharing of initial design ideas through to the finished performance: highlighting the impact that their investment has along the way.
On watching the show, the solicitors soon discovered this fairytale was not entirely the Rapunzel they knew, but something entirely original. The brilliant adaptation by Annie Siddons delivers comedy and silliness that is not lost on children nor adults. This reimagined version is exactly what Newbury has come to love from our 'regional powerhouse'.
At a time when the Bagnor theatre suffered the blow of Arts Council funding cut, it is particularly grateful to Horsey Lightly, as their sponsorship enables them to present this enchanting story to audiences here in Newbury and beyond.
