Hot news from Henley Festival - Nile Rogers, Westlife & Rag'n'Bone Man
Henley Festival has announced their “sensational” line-up for 2023, featuring five unmissable summer nights packed full of world-class music, comedy, dining, dancing and magical moments.
From Wednesday, July 5 to Sunday 9, the UK’s only black-tie music and arts festival will stage an unforgettable experience on the riverside in Henley-on-Thames.
Henley Festival presented by Westcoast will open this year’s iconic Floating Stage with Rag’n’Bone Man’s characteristic blend of blues and hip hop, followed by the most successful Irish boybands of all time Westlife performing their biggest hits, multiple Grammy Award winning songwriter, composer, producer and music legend Nile Rodgers and a breath-taking performance from Ministry of Sound Classical, combining a DJ set featuring the best tunes from dance music history with an incredible 30-piece orchestra.
Closing the Festival as part of this year’s Sunday Night Sessions will be The Kanneh-Mason Trio in the Spiegel Tent and – back by popular demand – Boney M with original lead singer Liz Mitchell will performing their euro-disco chartbusters with a 15-piece band.
Henley Festival is renowned for its unique and vibrant programme – and this year’s incredible Jazz line-up in the Spiegel Tent includes Robyn, Roo Savill Band, Boulevard, Palace Avenue, Sharp and TRIONIQ, with a taste of global music and folk in the beautiful Bedouin Tent from performers including John James Newman, Bloc off the Wall, Tom Speight, Mario Bakuna and Cinelli Brothers. And if that’s not enough, the stunning riverside Festival will host world class comedy from Marcus Brigstocke, Jo Brand, Chris McCausland and Adam Kay.
Henley Festival’s charitable initiative RISE, which creates opportunities for emerging talent to perform on a national stage, will be bigger and better this year.
Some of the RISE artists featured this year at Henley Festival will be Joshua Kyeot, Horse on the Beach, Jamie Cooke, Mychelle, Bee Arnold and Sassy Hammerslay.
A festival like no other, the vibrant programme of pop, world music, classical, folk and jazz alongside comedy, visual art and gastronomy will enchant the crowd late into the night – with each evening of memories brought to a close with a firework spectacular.
