Congratulations to Emma Milne-White and her team!

Hungerford Bookshop has been announced as a regional finalist for the South East for Independent Bookshop of the Year.

He praised the finalists for their "innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity - all done in the service of local communities".

Owned by Emma and Alex Milne-White, the award-winning Hungerford Bookshop can be found in a beautiful listed building at the heart of the town. Staff give friendly advice and besides selling books, regular author events are arranged. During the pandemic it went the extra mile to make sure people kept reading through deliveries and collection services.

It has previously won the Newbury Weekly News Best in Business award.
