Local authors take over Newbury library
Visit Newbury library on Saturday, November 23 between 11am and 2pm to meet some of West Berkshire's amazing local authors, including Helen Saxon, Tim Jarvis, Fiona Barker and many more.
Helen, who grew up and lives in East Ilsley wrote Amanda Knox – Crime, Trial, Release and Controversy, the first major publication about the Meredith Kercher murder case since Amanda and Raffaele Sollecito’s final exoneration and Rudy Guede’s release from prison. It explores the wildly differing opinions on the outcome and discusses the portrayal of the suspects in the media. Fiona Barker has been an audiologist for over 20 years as well as a children's book author. She's always loved picture books and passionately believes that reading a book together is one of the great joys of life. Fiona is a member of the Marine Conservation Society and The Wildlife Trusts and loves writing about animal characters.
Alongside being able to chat to authors directly, there will be several scheduled talks and readings throughout the day, including ‘How to Write Fiction’ by Tim Jarvis.
All of the authors will have a selection of their books on display, with titles for children and adults. Books will be available to purchase and each author will be more than happy to personalise a copy for you.
