Newbury bands come out to raise funds with Children with Cancer

Local bands come out to raise funds with Children with Cancer

If your love for live music has been reignited with the announcement of Oasis reforming next year, then head down to the Corn Exchange on Saturday, where a fantastic line up of local bands will take to the stage, all in support of Children with Cancer UK.

Acts performing include The Mezz, No Good Sons, The Station, Izzy Adams and A Dirty Soul, who release their debut single, Bloodline, this week.

Headliners The Mezz return to their roots after sold out shows over the last two years, including sets at Truck Festival and the Isle of Wight festival.

Newbury band No Good Sons have become local legends having released their third album last year. They return to the Corn Exchange with a commitment to play no-frills, good-time rock ‘n’ roll.

The Station are no strangers to the West Berks scene and are best described as an original indie-rock ’n’ roll band that are gaining a significant following.

Izzy Adams is a British DIY singer-songwriter and portfolio musician. Originally from Newbury but now based in Brighton, Izzy has made a name for herself within the grassroots live music scene with her incredible melodies and beautiful vocals.

A Dirty Soul will be performing their long awaited first gig as a four-piece in Newbury after their solo single When the Morning Comes was described as the anthem for BBC 6 Music’s Independent Venue Week by BBC Introducing’s Dave Gilvat.

The night will be hosted by Kate Carty from Kennet Radio.

Tickets can be bought online https://cornexchangenew.com/events/rewater-live-2 or on the door on the day and all proceeds will go to Children With Cancer UK.
