Local band’s Saturday night gig in support of The Newbury pub and landlord
Newbury band Who Ate All the Crayons will be headlining a gig at The Newbury pub on Saturday. The music starts at 7.30pm.
Their special guests will be Josh Fidler and Juliette The Band.
Who Ate All The Crayons are a folk rock band who draw influences from Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Howl and the Hum, and Mumford and Sons.
Band members are Harry Stradling (lead vocals), Lee Smith (percussion), George Jackson (lead guitar) and Luke Newman (bass guitar). They “incorporate infectious melodies wringing with emotion, ear-worm hooks, and anthemic vocals”.
George recently read a feature @newburytoday on The Newbury and its interview with the landlord Jamie Allen, https://www.newburytoday.co.uk/news/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-newbury-publican-crippling-costs-1-9409624/ about the difficulties behind running a pub and said he thought it would be a good opportunity “to help support and promote both”.
The Bartholomew Street pub is known for its delicious food and open mic nights.
